Built in 1969, a well known Tasmanian site steeped in history.

Originally owned by Tas Paper, the Wesley Vale Pulp Mill was built in 1968 and commissioned in 1969. Expanded in 1991, the mill operated for over 40 years until it’s closure in 2010.

At it’s peak, the mill was one of Tasmania’s largest employers, employing 350 people.

An extremely unique site requiring specialised around-the-clock services, the site was almost a town in itself - telephone booths, a fully serviced 24/7 canteen, its own fully contained water reservoir and power system - just a few of the features of what was regarded as one of north west Tasmania’s largest heavy industrial site of 56.11 HA.
